Last night’s car crash which claimed the life of a young father near Moville occurred close to the dead man’s home.
The 37-year-old, a father of three young children, died when his vehicle left the road at Clar, Redcastle at around 11.00pm.
The accident occurred on a minor road immediately off the Derry to Moville Road – several hundred yards from the dead man’s home – and about six miles from Moville.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was taken to the morgue at Letterkenny General Hospital where a post mortem was to be carried out.
He is the third person to died on the Donegal’s roads in the past week.
Last week two motorcyclists were killed following separate accidents in Raphoe and Burt.
