Police in Derry are appealing for information about an assault on a taxi driver and his passenger in the city in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Appealing for information, Constable Tracy Flynn said that at about 4.00am, the taxi was stopped at Beechwood Avenue by a group of men.
The driver and passenger were assaulted by one of the group.
The assailant is described as being about six feet tall and was wearing a grey tracksuit.
The driver sustained facial injuries and damage was caused to his car.
Const Flynn said information could be given on the police non-emergency number 101.
Alternatively, it could be provided to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
