Gardai remain at the scene where the body of a man was found earlier today.
The body was found around two kilometres from where missing Derry man Stephen McCloskey’s jeep was discovered abandoned almost two weeks ago.
The body was found in a river by members of a local gun club at Carrowreagh about half a mile from Bridgend in Co Donegal.
Gardai have sealed off an open field.
The man’s body has been taken to Letterkenny General Hospital.
Garda Supt Eugene McGovern said the office of the State Pathologist had been informed and a post mortem would be carried out tomorrow morning.
He said Garda investigations into the death are continuing.
