Firefighters at the scene of the fire at the New Taste Chinese takeaway.
A fire has caused extensive damage to a Chinese takeaway in Derry.
Four tenders rushed to the blaze which broke out at the New Taste takeaway at the junction of Marlborough Terrace and Creggan Hill, close to St Eugene’s Cathedral, at around 1.00pm.
An eyewitness described flames coming from the rear of the building.
No one was injured in the incident.
The area was sealed off which fire crews dealt with the blaze.
