Despite heavy downpours, Derry has escaped relatively unscathed with no reports of any serious flooding in the city.
However, the county and Strabane areas were not so lucky.
Motorists were advised to avoid the A5 Victoria Road at Magheramason (part of the main Strabane to Derry road) while the Ballylaw Road was closed at its junction with Lowertown Road due a high water levels in a stream flooding the road
Flooding also occurred on the Roshure Road in Magheraflet, Lisnamuck Road in Tobermore and the Castledawson bypass.
The good news is that the worst of the weather seems to have passed. While there will be outbreaks of rain, today is expected to be dry and bright.
Overnight showers are expected to clear to leave a dry and bright day with sunny spells tomorrow.
Sunny intervals and showers are predicted for Sunday and Monday, then cloudy on Tuesday with some rain, becoming more persistent later.
