Police in Derry are investigating two arson attacks in the Rosemount area of the city in the early hours of yesterday morning in which two cars and a van were set on fire.
At around 12.40am police received a report of two cars having been set on fire in the Northland Crescent.
It is believed some form of accelerant had been poured over the BMW and Vauxhall Zafira and set alight.
Damage was caused to the engine and front of both vehicles as a result.
Five males, one wearing a grey and black hooded top, were seen making off from the scene.
Ten minutes later, police received a report of a van having been set on fire in the Baldrick Crescent.
It is believed some form of accelerant was also poured over the Nissan Van and set alight.
Damage was caused to the engine and front of the vehicle.

Police have not yet established a link between the incidents but are appealing to anyone who has any information in relation to either incident to contact them in Strand Road Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
A police spokesperson said information could also be given anonymously on the independent Crimestoppers charity line, telephone 0800 555 111.
