People living and working in the Galliagh area of Derry have been called on to take part in a public consultation which will be taking place next week to explore the potential for a new community centre based in the area.
The call comes from Sinn Fein Cllr Elisha McCallion who has urged “as many people as possible” to try and get along to this consultation and have their say what they think should be a suitable site for a new centre and what they would like to see in it.
Cllr McCallion said: “A lot of good work goes on in the area on a day and daily basis and this has been complemented with the various reimaging and environmental projects which have taken place over the past few years.”
The public consultation will take place in St Joseph’s Parish Centre, Galliagh, on Wednesday, 26 November next from 2.30pm to 4.30pm and 5.30 pm to 7.30pm
