After an increase in commercial robberies in the North West over the festive period last year, the PSNI has started a new campaign to raise awareness among business people.
In December and January last, there were 22 robberies across the North West – weapons or the threat of weapons were used in 19 of the crimes.
Police have now begun to revisit the businesses that were targets last year, and are offering guidance to all.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “If you are in business and would like some advice, contact the Crime Prevention Officer at your nearest main station on the 101 non-emergency telephone number.”
