WEATHER WARNING: Gales from a so-called ‘weather bomb’ storm have hit Derry overnight.
There are fears of power cuts and travel disruption today as the storm worsens with the PSNI appealing to motorists to slow down.
The Met Office has issued a weather warning for Derry and the rest of the North.
A similar warning has been issued for Ulster by Met Eireann.
Storm force winds of 80mph will hit this afternoon. The strongest winds will slowly ease on Thursday morning.
