MOTORISTS are being advised that thieves posing as good samaritans have been operating in the William Street car park.
A man who parked his car there on Saturday was struggling to find a space, until two people approached and guided him to a space in the corner of the car park.
The motorist thought they were doing him a good turn.
But when he returned the car had been broken into, with three doors forced open.
A small amount of money was taken from an ashtray in the car.
