A DERRY mum has thanked roadside heroes who came to the rescue of her son after he was knocked down in a road traffic accident.
Local people rushed to help the boy while they waited on an ambulance – and in all the commotion the mother didn’t get a chance to thank those involved.
“We would like to sincerely thank the amazing people who tended him at the roadside until the ambulance arrived,” she said.
“Unfortunately, I was in such a state that I didn’t even get a chance to get their names or to thank them at the time.
“I would particularly like to thank the two very kind men who came to get me at work and I hope, if they get in touch, that we could meet them in person to thank them properly once our son is home from hospital.
“We are very blessed that our son is recovering and our Christmas will be extra special this year, thanks to the kindness of these amazing people.”
