STUDENTS at the North West Regional College must be free from discrimination, hatred and exclusion, union officers have said.
Darren O’Neill, the newly elected Equality Officer for the North West Regional College Students’ Union, is calling on students to get in contact with the Students’ Union if they witness any institutional bullying taking place on or off campus.
“The college must be free from discrimination, hatred and exclusion” he said.
“Forms of bullying such as sectarianism, homophobia, racism, and discrimination against students with disabilities, cannot be accepted and must be eradicated from the college.”
“Students must not exclude anyone because they have a different personality or characteristic, and as a union one of our priorities this year will be to strongly tackle these issues.”
