Derry boxer John Duddy is starring in a new film and it’s all thanks to Robert De Niro.
Duddy, 35, is appearing in new biopic about boxing champion Roberto Duran.
He revealed that he and De Niro struck up a great friendship when they filmed last year’s Grudge Match comedy.
De Niro stars as Duran’s trainer Ray Arcel in the new film.
Duddy revealed “In one scene, we were filming a news conference, when it finally hit me.
“I’m standing there thinking, “Oh my God, I’m shooting a scene with Robert De Niro.”
