THE PSNI has played down reports that a car has crashed in through a pub after three people were hurt in a two-car collision on Sunday evening.
A car collided with another vehicle which was doing a u-turn outside Cafe Roc on the Strand Road at 10pm last night.
Three people were taken by paramedics to Altnagelvin Hospital for treatment. No-one was critically injured.
All three were being kept in hospital overnight for observation.
The brother of one of those hurt said scans had so far found no serious injury.
The PSNI said reports that one vehicle had smashed through the bar were “seriously exaggerated”.
It’s understood one car came to a halt as it slid into the wall of the pub but no-one in the bar – or outside it – was hurt.
