IT’S getting even colder out there – with temperatures in rural areas of Derry set tot drop as low as -7C overnight.
Motorists have been warned of difficult driving conditions especially on untreated roads over the next 24 hours due to icy roads and freezing fog.
A weather warning remains in place until midday on Monday.
Main routes around Derry are being gritted this evening and overnight.
However roads in some developments and in country areas remain treacherous. Pedestrians have also been warned about slippy footpaths.
“Road users should exercise caution when travelling on all roads, particularly on untreated roads,” said a Transport NI spokesman.
