DERRY motorists are demanding that roads service workers fix more giant potholes around the city.
A giant pothole near Killea was finally fixed yesterday – but not before dozens of cars suffered damage.
One driver described the pothole there as a trench, joking: “If you put a donkey in it, it would have looked like a rabbit.”
The latest complaint is over a pothole at the Paddocks on the Racecourse Road in the city.
Motorist James McCallion damaged his car on it – as did Eamonn McCleary, with the suspension on his vehicle wrecked.
MLA Pat Ramsey has vowed to raise the issue today.
But there are reports of similar-sized potholes on roads all over the city.
Anyone who has suffered damage to their vehicle as a result of a collision with a pothole is advised to claim for damages.
