DERRY CITY’S Michael Duffy will return to Celtic next week.
Duffy, 20, was frustrated not to play a competitive game while in Glasgow last month but was pleased that he made an impression and Celtic want another look at him after impressing last season at City.
“As far as I know, they have arranged a few friendly matches and they said would be making arrangements to have me back over, so I’m really look forward to that,” said Michael.
“It’s been great, a great experience and I really enjoyed the week and never felt out of place.”
Derry boss Peter Hutton spoke with Celtic’s Youth Development Officer Willie McStay about Duffy’s progress.
Hutton said: “He told me Michael had acquitted himself well. He enjoyed the experience. He appears to have done well, but he’s not getting carried away.”
