INSTITUTE suffered another away day defeat with a 4-1 loss against Glentoran at the Oval in their New Year’s Day clash.
The Drumahoe outfit were behind after just 11 minutes after David Scullion struck before Danny McKee tapped in a rebound to make it 2-0 17 minutes later.
An error by Institute keeper Marty Gallagher allowed Jordan Stewart to make it 3-0 as the second half began.
Robbie Hume scored with an excellent free-kick to give Institute some hope but Scullion’s second goal of the game completed the Glens victory.
Institute have failed to register a win in 11 Premiership matches.
Institute fans will hope Dean Currie will recover after the game after he had to be stretchered off with a head injury after a collision with team-mate Stephen O’Donnell.
