A HOTEL popular with Derry wedding couples has been taken over by the banks.
The Bank of Ireland has confirmed it has appointed a receiver to Jackson’s Hotel in Ballybofey.
The hotel will continue to trade as a going concern and all staff will remain in place.
All wedding bookings and other vouchers will be honoured, the hotel said.
The news comes just two days after the Seaview Hotel in Gaoth Dobhair confirmed it has closed with the loss of 35 jobs.
