INSTITUTE manager Paul Kee praised the work ethic of his players, revealing a half-time team talk was behind a 4-goal second half salvo against Loughgall to secure a place in the 6th round of the Irish Cup.
The sides were level 1-1 at half-time despite ‘Stute dominating the first 45 minutes.
But those second half goals secured a fine win.
“It’s nice to win by five, Loughgall came here and put it up to us, but we showed a bit of character and that’s what we need at this time,” said Kee.
“Darren McFadden made a good contribution, he got a goal and that’ll give him a boost, and Robbie Hume also put in a good performance today.
“We had a chat at half-time and we asked the players to go out and up the ante and they went and did just that, we got goals at key times.”
