Derry’s Dr McKenna Cup clash with Queen’s University Belfast has been postponed due to an unplayable playing surface at Owenbeg.
Derry were narrowly defeated by Fermanagh on Sunday after a opening day group victory over Donegal.
A victory over the students would almost certainly secure Brian McIver’s team a place in the knock-out stages of the competition.
It’s now expected that the rearranged fixture will take place at the weekend.
The semi-finals of the competition were due to take place this weekend but with a whole host of Dr McKenna Cup fixtures falling foul of the weather they’ll all take place this weekend now.
However, with more bad weather on the way, the fixtures at the weekend could also be in doubt.
We’ll update you when official confirmation comes through on when the rearranged fixture will take place.
