MOTORISTS are being warned to drive carefully again today as surface water continues to lie in many areas – some of it turning to ice.
Local Sinn Féin Councillor Sandra Duffy said surface water was causing problems last night.
“I was contacted by a number of motorists concerned about flooding and surface water on several roads in the Ballyarnett area, particularly in and around the Racecourse and Alder Roads,” she said.
“They have asked me to put out an appeal in the local media to alert drivers of these hazards, to slow down and take care whilst travelling through the area.
“With more bad weather forecast in the next few days surface water can be very dangerous on a dark country road.”
