HUNDREDS of homes and businesses in the Claudy area have lost water supplies tonight due to the NI Water strike.
The interruption to supply is a result of the shut down of the Caugh Hill water treatment plant.
NI Water staff are refusing to work weekend or outside normal hours in a pay, pensions and conditions dispute.
Deputy Mayor Gary Middleton said a large number of homes have been affected.
