THREE men arrested in connection with an vicious attack on a defenceless woman in Co Derry last year have been released this evening.
Danielle Allen, originally from Aghanloo outside Limavady, was in left in a coma after the attack in Glenmore Gardens in the town on 17 July.
The 27-year-old was found with serious bleeding to the brain, broken ribs, a fractured arm and multiple burns.
As a result of the sickening attack, Danielle now has to use a wheelchair as a result of the attack.
The men were arrested in Limavady during a planned operation by detectives who have been investigating the brutal assault for the past six months.
They are being quizzed about causing Danielle grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault.
After several hours of questioning all three were released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
