Police investigating an assault in Claudy in which a woman suffered serious facial injuries have appealed for calm.
The PSNI says they have interviewed two men about the incident.
Two people were assaulted at Main Street in the early hours of January 1, one of them a girl.
Constable Evans, the investigating officer, added: “Police are expecting to interview more people in the coming weeks and are asking any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
“We are aware of tensions in the area and are requesting people to remain calm and not speculate as to what has occurred until Police have conducted a thorough investigation.”
