POLICE at Strand Road are appealing for information about a burglary on the outskirts of Derry in which thieves used an old style Datsun or Honda car
Detective Inspector David McQuade said around 4pm on Sunday last entry was gained a house at Creevagh Road, off Letterkenny Road.
This is a rurally situated detached bungalow.
Entry was gained and a copper tank was ripped out of a hall cupboard, with damage caused to the ceiling and flooring in the process.
A radiator was taken off the wall but left in situ and some other copper piping was stolen.
One witness saw a small silver old type car with tinted rear side windows, possibly a Honda/ Datsun in the area at the time of the burglary.
