POLICE at Strand Road are appealing for information about an assault on a man near licensed premises at Bank Place in Derry.
The victim was struck once on the left side of his face at about 1am on January 10.
At the time of the incident the initial injury was swelling to the left side of the injured man’s face, but upon seeking medical attention, surgery was needed with the injured party having to have pins placed.
Constable Craig, the investigating officer, is keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened.
