Detectives at Strand Road in Derry are appealing for information about an attempt to rob a mobile shop in the Carnhill area.
Detective Inspector David McQuade said: “At around 8pm on Monday, 2nd, two youths carrying iron bars entered the shop and demanded money from staff members. They are not thought to have received any, but wrecked the shelves.
“They split up after the incident, with one heading towards Carnhill to the green area at the rear of the college, and the other making for Collon Lane towards Slievemore.”
