Detectives at Strand Road police station in Derry are appealing for information about recent burglaries.
On Saturday, 31st, a window of a house at Liscannor Park, Foyle Springs, was forced open and a sum of money was stolen.
Meanwhile on Tuesday evening, an attempt was made to break into a flat at Limavady Road.
Detective Constable Richard Donnell, the investigating officer, said: “The occupant was at home when the attempt happened. She believes she saw a man and a woman leave the area in a red car.”
And a red car was also seen in the proximity of a burglary that occurred at Tamneymore Park, off Strabane Old Road, between 6pm and 9pm on Tuesday. A large sum of cash was stolen, along with several expensive items of jewellery including some with sentimental value.
Also on Tuesday, the kitchen door of a house at Hampstead Park, off Culmore Road, was forced open. Nothing was stolen. At Woodbrook in the Galliagh area, meanwhile, an attempt was made to break into a house through the rear door.
