PSNI Traffic and the AA are warning motorists in the North West to drive with caution again this morning as a mixture of ice, black ice and freezing fog are making conditions difficult.
Roads are in a dangerous condition in areas which haven’t been gritted.
This includes a number of areas of the county.
The PSNI was forced to close the Feeny to Draperstown Road last night due to icy conditions which made the road impassable.
Similar conditions are reported this morning on minor roads in and around Park, Claudy, Gortnahey, Limavady, Drumsurn, Maghera and Eglinton.
Roads into and out of estates in Derry City are also poor.
Transport NI says gritting lorries did treat main roads overnight.
The good news is that weather warnings have been lifted from today; with temperatures during the day set to lift as the weekend arrives – with 8C on Saturday and 9C on Sunday.
However it will remain cold at night.
