DERRY winger Michael Duffy has made a big impression in his first game for Celtic.
He made his first appearance in the Development squad’s 3-0 win over Dunfermline this afternoon.
The highly-rated footballer didn’t get off to a goalscoring debut, but he helped set up the third seven minutes from the end at the Excelsior Stadium.
Jamie Lindsay opened the scoring in the third minute with a superb curling free-kick, but the Hoops babes had to wait until the 70th minute before they doubled their advantage.
Paul McMullan netted with a penalty-kick after he had been brought down in the box. The Fifers failed to get back into the contest when Leo Fasan saved a spot-kick from Finn Graham only minutes later. Near the end, Duffy had a shot block and the rebound fell kindly for McMullan to drill No.3 into the net.
