burglarDetectives at PSNI Strand Road are investigating two burglaries that occurred in the early hours of Sunday 8th February 2015 in the Greenhaw Road and Steelstown Road areas of the city.

Detective Constable Richard Donnell, the investigating officer, is especially keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a male wearing a jacket with the hood up, walking in the area sometime between 1am and 3am.

Residents are again reminded to keep all doors and windows locked and secured and further advice can be obtained from the Crime Prevention Officer who is based at the Waterside station.

And police are also investigating a series of break-ins and thefts from vehicles in the Trench Road area on Friday 6th February and into the morning of Saturday 7th February.

Detective Constable Donnell is appealing for information from anyone who was in the Ashthorpe, Windridge Drive or Thornlea Garden areas sometime after midnight and who may have seen two youths acting suspiciously.
Information can be given on the police non-emergency number, 101, or by calling the Crimestoppers Charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
