Bryan Rutledge was a photographer in the Ulster Museum for 28 years and since taking early retirement in 2006, is now a Museum & Heritage photographer for a wide range of organisations including The National Museum in Dublin, the Northern Ireland War Memorial & the National Trust, just to mention a few.
Bryan will explore the lives and work of a number of the principal war photographers whose bravery and skill led to the production of a range of powerful and iconic images of WWI.
It will focus on the photography as seen from a photographer’s point of view, what could be photographed, what equipment did they use, who took photographs and what happened to the photographs.
