Former Derry City sharpshooter Rory Patterson has signed for Australian side Cockburn United.
Former Linfield, Coleraine and Plymouth Argyle striker Patterson left Derry City last month after informing the club he planned on furthering his career abroad.
Derry had been forced to place Patterson on the transfer list due to financial constraints at the club.
He was officially unveiled as Cockburn United’s new signing earlier this afternoon.
Cockburn United’s official Facebook page welcomed him by posting the picture (above) with the following statement.
“Introducing Cockburn City’s new number 9 Rory Patterson. Rory signs from Irish Club Derry City.
“Rory is an ex professional in the UK with Plymouth Argyle, he has also represented Northern Ireland as a full international 5 times scoring once.
“Come see Rory in action this Saturday Vs Inglewood at Dalmatinac Park
