SIX PEOPLE have been rescued from a flat fire on Spencer Road, the fire service says.
A child and five adults were taken to safety by firefighters from Crescent Link and Northland Road fire stations at 1.30am. None of them required hospital treatment although a 53-year-old man was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
Investigators believe the kitchen fire was accidental.
