THE PSNI has issued a strongly-worded statement saying officers will not tolerate juveniles running amok through the city centre frightening shoppers and tourists.
It follows incidents on Wednesday night.
“City Centre Police dealt with a number of juveniles involved in anti-social behaviour in the city centre resulting in the arrest of three juveniles,” said a PSNI spokesman.
“One was taken home and the other two were kept in cells overnight for Court where was subsequently released on Court Bail conditions and the other one has been remanded in custody.
“The city centre has an excellent reputation in regards to safety, the social scene and tourism which is why it was last year awarded Purple Flag status. We do not want anti-social behaviour by a few individuals ruining it for the rest.”
