PSNI MAKE APPEAL AFTER FOUR MASKED MEN CARRY OUT AGGRAVATED BURGLARY

Detectives in Londonderry are appealing for information following the report of an aggravated burglary at a house in Harvey Street in the early hours of Monday 23rd February. burglar

Four masked and armed men forced their way into a house in the area at around 4am, where they assaulted and threatened a number of occupants.

The men were reported to have been armed with a hammer, a crossbow and knives and are thought to have made off from the scene in a red car.

There were no serious injuries reported as a result of the incident.

And detectives are also investigating an incident in which two males, one armed with a hammer, attempted to force entry to a property in Pinetrees, off Skeoge Link, shortly after 9.30pm on Sunday.

The males smashed a number of windows in the property and the windscreen of a nearby parked van before making off from the area.

Detective Sergeant Craig is appealing for anyone who has any information which may assist police with their enquiries to contact CID at Strand Road on 101.

Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
