DETECTIVES in Derry city centre are investigating after people in a house were attacked by masked men armed with a crossbow, hammer and knives
The terrifying incident happened at at a house in Harvey Street in the early hours of Monday morning.
The four-man gang left the scene around 4 am in a red car.
Fortunately, no one at home was injured during the horrific ordeal.
The detective hunting the gang the gang, Detective Sergeant Craig, has appealed for anyone who has any information which may assist police with their enquiries to contact CID at Strand Road on the 101 non-emergency number.
He said information could also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
