Very strong winds are expected on Saturday evening and overnight into Sunday, wind gusts of 50-60 mph quite widely, the Met Office has said.
Winds in the North West will be in excess of 70 mph over headlands, hills and some bridges.
“The public should be aware of the potential for disruption to travel and power supplies,” said the spokesman.
The Yellow Status wind warning for Derry is valid from 5pm tomorrow until 4am on Sunday morning.
