THE decision of a loyalist band umbrella group to attend a Sinn Féin Ard Fheis meeting has split the organisation.
There are now bitter divisions over the decision by Londonderry Bands Forum representative Derek Moore attending the conference.
The East Bank Protestant Boys band however has now resigned from forum, saying Moore was duped.
“As far as Sinn Fein is concerned, having loyalist bandsmen at their conference allows them to present the positive image that their unionist outreach is working,” said the band in a statement.
“In reality they are out to cheat us out of our equality, using Gerry Adams’ Trojan Horse strategy.”
