Mayor of Derry Councillor Brenda Stevenson pictured at the programme launch for the City of Derry Jazz and Big Band Festival, which took place in the City Hotel yesterday, with Derry City Council Festivals and Events Manager Karan Leonard and staff and pupils from St Mary’s College. The St Mary’s College School Choir has been specially selected to support headline act Jamie Cullum when he takes to the stage at the Millennium Forum on May 4th.
The launch of the City of Derry Jazz and Big Band Festival programme took place in the City Hotel last night.
The Mayor of Derry Councillor Brenda Stevenson launched the programme for the Festival which will run from April 30 – May 4, with young jazz sensation Jamie Cullum headlining.
Organised by Derry City Council and supported by Diageo, the festival will feature over 250 acts across 60 venues, with five days of Jazz, Jump, Jive, Swing, and Blues delivered on note by some of the best artists in the business. Over 35,000 music fans are expected to attend.
