POLICE say that a 49 year old man arrested following a fatal RTC is to face a court in the morning over the death.
The accident happened on the Melmount Road, Victoria Bridge, Strabane last night, Saturday 11 April.
The lorry driver has been charged with dangerous driving causing death, causing death by driving whilst uninsured, no insurance and failing to have recording equipment fitted to his vehicle, namely a tachograph.
Sergeant Amanda Kenny, Collision Investigation Unit said, ” The man has been charged to appear at Enniskillen Magistrates Court tomorrow, Monday 13th April.
“As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
“I appeal to anyone who witnessed a white Mercedes box lorry or a white Citroen van on the Melmount Road, Victoria Bridge, Strabane between 10 pm and 10.15 pm on Saturday evening 11 April 2015 to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on non emergency number 101.”
