Derry City are back on track after beating bottom of the table Limerick this evening.
A Barry McNamee penalty settled any Derry nerves midway through the first half before a Mark Timlin stunner just before the game settled matters.
Derry played some lovely football after the break.
They were never under threat and almost added a third when a Philip Lowry effort was brilliantly saved by Conor O’Donnell just before the end.
Limerick have now gone nine games without a win, so tonight’s result might some gloss on Derry.
But it will act as a confidence boost for Peter Hutton’s men.
