Police investigating an incident in the Slieveboy Park area of Claudy on Monday are appealing for information. 
Detective Constable Tony Douglas, the investigating officer, said that at approximately 10:10am a number of individuals assaulted a woman.
“Police are asking for the help of the community and want to know if anyone was in that area at that time.
“Did anyone see anyone or any vehicles acting suspiciously?, did anyone hear or see anything out of the normal at that time?”
Information can be given to the CID at Strand Road by phoning the 101 non-emergency number.
Alternatively, information can be given to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
