A WOMAN in her 50s has cheated death in a house fire last night.
The Fire Service say crews responded to a report of a blaze at a terraced house at Moyglass Place in Strathfoyle.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hosereel jet and two jets to extinguish the blaze in the bedroom.
The woman who lives in the house was rescued a by neighbour.
She was taken by paramedics to Altnagelvin Hospital to be treated.
She is said to be in a “serious but stable condition”.
The Fire Service said crews from Crescent Link, Limavady and Morthland stations attended the incident.
