FAI CUP: Derry City have been handed a favourable cup tie against non-league Leinster Senior League side Edenderry Town FC.
Derry City who were defeated 2-0 by St Patrick’s Athletic in last year’s FAI Cup final at the Aviva will be hoping they can go one better this year.
Although Derry have been given an away tie on paper it looks like a very winnable game for Peter Hutton’s side.
With Derry already out of the running for the league title both cup competitions represent the best chance of success for Derry.
Derry have a terrific cup record over the last number of years and will be hoping they can bring some silverware back to The Brandywell.
Derry will face Edenderry on Sunday the 31st of May.
