PEOPLE have taken to the streets of Derry this afternoon to protest at the visit of Prince Charles to Ireland.
He shook hands with Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams this afternoon during a visit to Galway university.
Around 40 people gathered at the Bloody Sunday memorial at Rossville Street to protest at his visit.
They also called the disbandment of the British Parachute Regiment of which Prince Charles is Colonel-in-Chief.
Among those taking part this afternoon were rights campaigner Eamon McCann and some relatives of those who lost their lives on Bloody Sunday.
They included Kate Nash who was snubbed by the BBC Radio Ulster Stephen Nolan show this morning when it refused to allow her on the programme to air her staunch views against the visit.
