POLICE at Strand Road in Derry are appealing for information about an assault on a man in the Glenabbey Area.
Shortly before midnight on Monday, 25th, police received a report of a fight in progress.
Constable McColgan, the investigating officer, said a 31-year-old man was taken to hospital with facial injuries and a suspected broken ankle.
A motive is under investigation.
A number of assailants are alleged to have been involved. They are reported to have gone to the scene in a Mazda car and a Suzuki car.
