Police at Strand Road in Derry are investigating a sickening assault on a woman in Derry.
Constable Tracy Flynn, the investigating officer, said that at about 1am on Monday, an incident involving a woman occurred outside flats at College View.
The woman was allegedly pulled to the ground, and then subsequently assaulted inside the flat.
Constable Flynn added: “A man aged 29 was arrested in suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
“We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area or drove past while the initial incident was taking place.”
