Police have made five arrests in a crackdown on yob youth crime.
They made four arrests in Derry city centre after reports that a youth was chased in the streets.
Four youths aged between 17 and 19 were arrested at Bridge Street on suspicion of common assault, and three of them on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon.
They were later released on bail pending further enquiries.
Meanwhile one of the youths, who is aged 17, was charged with stealing two iPads in another incident yesterday and is to appear at the local youth court in June.
Another 17-year-old was charged with criminal damage and is to appear at the same court.
